As an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer with Mechanics Auto, you are the person that our customers look to when they need help with their vehicle. You are the person that our customers see every time they make an investment into their vehicle, because of these reasons you play a large role in building relationships with our customers. Service Advisors have the responsibility of taking our customer through the entire repair process, keeping them informed of the status of their vehicle and ensuring their satisfaction before they leave our facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greet every customer that enters our facility with hospitality and respect
Present the best solution to properly repair our customer's vehicle in a way that is easy for them to understand
Manage the store's workflow in an effective and efficient manner
Consistently and effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity
Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere at all times
Communicate on the phone in a clear professional manner
Build long-term relationships between the shop, yourself and the customer
Directs, coordinates, and participates in performing customer service activities
Shuttle customers as needed in Mechanic's vehicle.
Ensure that all repairs are performed to proper specifications.
Work together as a team and assist other employees as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current driver s licenses
Driving record acceptable to our current insurance carrier
Proficiency in Windows based computer software and automotive store applications
Experience in an Automotive Customer Service role or Automotive Service Write/Advisor/Sales role

Physical Requirements:

Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

As an Automotive Technician / Mechanic at Mechanics Auto, you’re the expert our team and customers rely on to keep vehicles safe, reliable, and performing at their best. You take pride in diagnosing issues accurately, completing repairs efficiently, and maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Whether it’s a basic oil change or a complex engine rebuild, you’re the one who gets the job done right the first time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform accurate and thorough diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles
Execute repairs and maintenance services with precision and efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor about vehicle status and needed repairs
Ensure all repairs meet or exceed safety and quality standards
Use repair manuals and technical resources as needed
Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when required
Assist other team members when needed to meet customer deadlines
Stay current on automotive technology and repair techniques
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance

Qualifications

3+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
Driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with shop management software and diagnostic tools
